Reverend Debra Berg  (She/Her)

I came to the stories of Jesus and life in the church a bit later then some; I was 18 years old.  After attending my Aunt’s funeral, I was inspired to explore who I am as a spiritual person.  Let just say I really got into this exploration and it took me to St. Andrew’s College, an internship in Grenada in the West Indies and eventually, ordination in 1994. It has been my privilege to adventure alongside other explorers in the church.

My current adventure began alongside the folks of McClure United Church in 2011. Being with folks during life’s challenges and changes (Pastoral Care) is one of the areas of my ministry I find most rewarding.

I’m a mom to two amazing young men and an unapologetic tea cup collector.  I’m a dog person (though I don’t have a dog of my own at the moment).  I love to sing and bake and do “Punch embroidery” (not as violent as it sounds).

I can be found in the McClure Church office most mornings except when it is celebration morning over at McClure place (they serve cake).

Reverend Emily Carr

Reverend Emily started her journey with McClure United Church in January 2024. She is our Minister of Worship and Pastoral Care. She works half time with us at McClure and half time as Northern Saskatchewan Hospital Chaplain.

Emily is a Mom who loves animals, playing the guitar and learning about the Bible.

Office Administrative Assistant -  Arron Bahry
(She/Her)

I joined the wonderful team of Reverends, volunteers, congregation members and staff of
McClure United Church in November of 2023!

I love spending time with family and friends, walking my dog Emerald, taking care of my recently purchased first house in Caswell Hill, plants and trees, and reading books. I collect Japanese pottery and prints, and I will always defer to colorful office supplies :)

Rainbow Village Leader - Eden Polischuk (She/Her)

I have started attending McClure in was in high school because I was looking for a 2SLGBTQ+ friendly church that cared about reconciliation! Well I found what I was looking for and more! I have happily helped run the Rainbow Village program, along with the ministry staff, since the fall of 2019. I want to teach kids how to be compassionate towards others and themselves!

I love to baking gluten free, celiac friendly goodies and drawing in my free time.
I received my BED in Education from the College of Education and work as a substitute teacher during the week.
