About Interval House

With the isolation and stress created by the pandemic and COVID-19, statistics tell us that domestic violence against women has definitely increased. Shelters for women and children are a necessity.

According to the Saskatoon Housing Authority, Interval House is an emergency, temporary shelter for women and their children who require safe accommodations when escaping an abusive home situation. Besides protection, services such as counseling, educational programs, referral, and advocacy are offered by staff who are present twenty-four hours per day. Women and their children may stay for one month at Interval House so that physical and emotional healing can lead to the rebuilding of their lives.

Interval House includes Adelle House which offers low-cost supportive housing for women and children. The women can live independently in a twelve-unit apartment building for a year and work with staff and other residents to create a safe and enriched environment and a secure future.
